Biography of Dr. James A. Rorie Dr. James A. Rorie received Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in June 1968 and was filled with the Holy Spirit in that same year. In August 1971, God spoke to his servant, Dr. James A. Rorie and told him, “By faith…take your family and your ministry which I have given you and go to Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and I will be with you.” For these reasons, he and his family left Philadelphia, believing and trusting in God. Dr. Rorie’s obedience to God led to spiritual blessings. In November 1974, he was ordained as an Elder. In 1975 while in Fort Lauderdale, God spoke to Dr. Rorie again and said, ‘go to Hollywood and open a work there.’ In January 1976, Dr. James A. Rorie founded Faith Deliverance Center. Although it was only a storefront on the outside, the inside was on fire with God’s supernatural power and anointing. As Dr. Rorie labored in ministry, he received another word from the Lord in 1976 – ‘in seven years, you will build me a cathedral.’ Surely the hand of God rested upon His servant - on July 31, 1983, Dr. James A. Rorie founded Faith Deliverance Cathedral Ministries. Although he had only a handful of members, his heart was full of faith. His anointing grew stronger and his faith increased in God with each passing vision, miracle, healing, and blessing. Through many trials and tribulations, he pressed toward his calling, conquering the enemy over and over again. As a result, the doors of Faith Deliverance Cathedral were opened to a crowd of over 500 people. In January 1984, Dr. Rorie began the Sounds of Deliverance Radio Ministry where the Word of God was heard on stations WEXY and WMBM. Those who heard the powerful and anointed voice of Dr. Rorie were blessed and healed. Today, Dr. Rorie continues to impact hundreds of people through radio broadcasting. The Sounds of Deliverance can be heard each Sunday morning at 9:00 A.M. on WEXY Radio Station. While moving the vision imparted to him, he was inspired to pursue his education. In May 1988, Dr. Rorie earned his Bachelor of Theology Degree from the United Bible College and Seminary in Orlando, Florida. As the man of God proved himself faithful and highly esteemed in ministry, Dr. Rorie received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree in 1988, from the United Theological Seminary, also in Orlando, Florida. In December 1990, God directed Dr. Rorie to form The Pastors and Ministers Interdenominational Alliance. The Alliance consists of pastors and ministers from South Florida. The Alliance convenes on a monthly basis under the teaching and counsel of Dr. James A. Rorie. In April 1992, another vision came to pass as he labored to obey the Master’s voice. Under his leadership, Dr. Rorie founded the Tender Loving Childcare & Learning Center, located in Hollywood, Florida, adjacent to The Cathedral. Under the skilled leadership of Dr. James A. Rorie, The Cathedral Ministries needed to enlarge their borders. Thus, in August 1994, a groundbreaking ceremony marked the realization of another vision, when Dr. James A. Rorie founded and pastored the new Faith Deliverance Cathedral in Miami, Florida. In April 1995, Dr. Rorie opened the Senior Citizen Apartments in Miami, Florida, being led of God. The final phase of the Senior Citizen Complex is a current building project under the direction of Dr. James A. Rorie, Founder and Overseer. Under the skilled leadership of Dr. James A. Rorie, The Cathedral Ministries needed to enlarge their borders. Thus, in August 1993, a groundbreaking ceremony marked the realization of another vision, when Dr. James A. Rorie founded and pastored the new Faith Deliverance Cathedral in Miami, Florida. In April 1995, Dr. Rorie opened the Senior Citizen Apartments in Miami, Florida, being led of God. The final phase of the Senior Citizen Complex is a current building project under the direction of Dr. James A. Rorie, Founder and Overseer. In January 1996, another vision came to pass when Dr. Rorie began the Television Ministry at WCTD on Channel 35. People began to call the prayer line in hope of getting comfort; hearing a word from God; and, healing for their bodies and loved ones. Television viewers received miracles when the awesome power of God through Dr. Rorie began to heal them. Truly, Dr. James A. Rorie is a visionary, leader, counselor, business man, pioneer, and friend of many. Moreover, he is …a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22). Those who have had the honor of meeting Dr. Rorie can attest that he only gives God his very best in service – a mark of ‘excellence.’ Dr. James A.
